To provide delegates with a thorough understanding of confined spaces, the associated legislation, approved code of practice (ACOP), dangers associated with confined spaces and the ability to enter, work and leave them safely by horizontal and/or vertical entry.

Who Should Attend?

This course is for persons who need to understand the risks associated with Medium risk confined spaces and may plan, enter, work in and exit confined spaces using Escape Set breathing apparatus (open or closed circuit).

Specific Confined Space 1 Day joining instructions will be supplied to you (if appropriate) once your booking is confirmed. If, once confirmation has been received, you are in anyway unsure of what prerequisites or items you need to bring or provide, then your dedicated training manager or the trainer conducting your course will be able to confirm this with you. Course Agenda

This 1-day course covers the identification of confined spaces in the workplace and relevant regulations. It also includes risk assessments, PPE selection and inspection, and control of hazards. Participants will learn how to safely enter and exit confined spaces and complete tasks.

The training will provide a clear understanding of individual and organizational responsibilities in confined spaces. It will cover the use of escape breathing apparatus and appropriate control measures. Practical exercises and case studies will be used to reinforce learning.
