This is a 2 day course with theory and practical sessions for confined space entry. Practical training is carried out using inertia reel tripod unit and oxygen escape breathing sets. On the second day, training is carriede out using full breathing apparatus....

Who Should Attend?

This course is for persons who need to understand the risks associated with Low /Medium risk confined spaces and may plan, enter, work in and exit confined spaces using Escape Set breathing apparatus (open or closed circuit).

Joining Instructions

Candidate(s) must bring safety footwear with them. They will also need a safety helmet and hi visibility jacket. It would also help if the delagate could bring a set of overalls although these can be provided on the day.

Course Agenda

At the end of the course, delegates will be able to identify confined spaces in the workplace and understand relevant regulations and expectations for individuals and organizations. They will also learn how to conduct risk assessments according to organizational criteria.

Delegates will be able to identify and select appropriate personal protective equipment PPE and complete a before-use inspection, following manufacturer guidelines. They will also learn how to identify and control hazards found within confined spaces.

During the course, delegates will learn how to safely enter a confined space using appropriate control measures and complete a working task. They will also be trained on how to exit a confined space safely.

The course will cover topics such as confined space identification, regulations and expectations, risk assessments, PPE selection and inspection, hazard identification and control, safe entry and exit procedures. Delegates will also have the opportunity to practice these skills in a simulated confined space environment.
