Who Should Attend?

This qualification is open to those over 14 years of age, however only those over 16 can act as a sole first aider within a workplace.

Joining Instructions

Specific First Aid At Work (3 days) joining instructions will be supplied to you (if appropriate) once your booking is confirmed. If, once confirmation has been received, you are in anyway unsure of what prerequisites or items you need to bring or provide, then your dedicated training manager or the trainer conducting your course will be able to confirm this with you. Contact numbers and ways to get in touch will be provided.

Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider Assess an incident Conduct a secondary survey Manage an unresponsive casualty who is/isn’t breathing normally Recognise and assist a casualty who is choking Manage a casualty with external bleeding Administer first aid to a casualty with injuries to bones, muscles or joints Administer first aid to a casualty with suspected chest, head or spinal injuries Administer first aid to a casualty with burns and scalds Administer first aid to a casualty with an eye injury, sudden poisoning or anaphylaxis Provide first aid to a casualty with suspected major illness.
