This course aims to ensure candidates are aware of the potential risks involved in working in high risk confined spaces against the National Occupational Standard (NOS). Who Should Attend?

All persons who are required to work in an environment where it is necessary to enter the space using Self Contained Breathing Apparatus or Air-line equipment. Where entry to the space is non-standard and will require specialise equipment to gain access. This course is also available for accreditation in conjunction with City & Guilds 6150 Confined Space qualification.

Joining Instructions

Candidates must bring their own safety boots, high visibility jacket, hard hat, gloves, knee pads and overalls. Candidates must be physically fit. Candidates should also be clean shaven for the use of Breathing Apparatus. (Unless prior notice has been given).

Welcome to The Training Centre in Jarrow! Located conveniently with the postcode NE32 3HH, this venue is easily accessible and offers a comfortable environment for your training experience. Throughout the day, you can enjoy complimentary refreshments, including tea, coffee, juice, and water. If you prefer to bring your own lunch, theres a canteen equipped with a fridge and microwave. Alternatively, a sandwich van visits around 10 am, offering a selection of hot and cold food, drinks, and cakes. For those looking to explore, a shopping centre with various cafes and shops is just a short walk away.To reach The Training Centre, start from the A194M South Shields and take the A182/B1288 exit towards Washington/Birtley/Newcastle/Gateshead/A1. At Havannah Interchange, take the 4th exit onto the A194M ramp towards Tyne Tunnel/South Shields. Merge onto A194, then at White Mare Pool Interchange, take the 2nd exit onto Leam Ln/A194. Continue straight at the next roundabout, then take the 2nd exit onto the A19 ramp towards Tyne Tunnel/Morpeth. Merge onto A19 and take the A185 exit towards Jarrow/Hebburn. Finally, at Jarrow Interchange, take the 2nd exit onto Priory Rd/B1297, and youll find The Training Centre on your right. We look forward to welcoming you!. Tea, Coffee, Juice and water are available through out day. There is a canteen with fridge and microwave if candidates wish to bring their own lunch.
