Who Should Attend?

This unit covers both water and non-water industry areas. Water: this may include working with potable water, sewage treatment processes, drain and sewer cleaning operations or where the operative is working in or near water or where a confined space is subject to surface water flooding. Non-water: this may include pharmaceutical, petrochemical, asbestos removal, vehicle manufacture and servicing, aeronautical, construction, communications, power, utilities, gas, electrical and mechanical engineering and some elements of work operations in mines, quarries and tunnelling.

Training Venue

Welcome to The Training Centre in Jarrow! Located conveniently with easy access, this venue is perfect for your training needs. Throughout the day, you can enjoy complimentary refreshments, including tea, coffee, juice, and water. If you prefer to bring your own lunch, theres a canteen equipped with a fridge and microwave. Alternatively, a sandwich van visits around 10 am, offering a delightful selection of hot and cold food, drinks, and cakes. To reach The Training Centre, take the A194M from South Shields, exit towards Washington/Birtley/Newcastle, and follow the signs to Jarrow. After merging onto the A19, take the A185 exit, and at Jarrow Interchange, take the 2nd exit onto Priory Rd/B1297. Youll find the centre on your right. Enjoy your visit!. Tea, Coffee, Juice and water are available through out day. There is a canteen with fridge and microwave if candidates wish to bring their own lunch. We also have a sandwich was calls around 10Ish which has hot and cold food, drinks, cakes etc. There is a shopping centre within walking distance with cafes and shops serving hot and cold food.
